As I pulled it from between the car seats I reconized the shape immediately. I would know that golden pressed shape anywhere. It was a chicken McNugget. I went inside.
"Mom. Look" I hold out the nugget.
"What is that?"
"A McNugget. I found it your car"
"But the family has been vegan for years..."
Oh nice! I like the suspense that built up to the stung reveal. You did an amazing job.

ReplyDeleteGood story- I agree with RaeChelle on the suspenseful ending. I like how it seems to be a cliffhanger. I think you can get rid of the line, "It was a chicken McNugget," in the beginning if you say what it is at the end, which will build the suspense even more. Some to the questions I have when I read this are: Was there someone else in the car? OR Did someone in family slip up in their veganism? Can you clear it up at all?
